The day begins with pickup at 08:30 (depending on your location) and a scenic drive towards the south, where Crete reveals a more untamed and powerful side.
Your first stop is Kourtaliotiko Gorge, a striking natural formation defined by towering cliffs, rugged rock formations and flowing springs that create small waterfalls. The energy of the landscape is immediate and immersive, offering a moment to pause and take in the scale and beauty of southern Crete.
Along the route, a hidden stop adds a unique element to the experience. This off-the-beaten-path location, known only to a few, offers a quiet and authentic connection with nature, away from typical routes and crowds.
The journey continues to the village of Sellia, where the experience becomes fully interactive. At a traditional mitato, you step into the daily life of Cretan countryside. You will walk through vegetable gardens, harvest fresh ingredients, milk animals and take part in the process of making traditional cheese using techniques passed down through generations. The experience is completed with a rich tasting of homemade products, offering a true sense of local flavors and hospitality.
In the afternoon, the route leads to Preveli Palm Beach, one of the most unique landscapes in Crete. Here, a palm forest meets turquoise waters while a river flows into the sea, creating a rare natural setting. You will have time to explore, relax, swim and experience the calm rhythm of the environment.
The return journey completes the day, arriving back around 17:00.
